We found this beach in April after I had a big ole’ snotty anxiety cry over being stuck inside over COVID + have returned many times — to eat donuts on the morning of my 26th birthday, to read a book in the sand on the first nice spring day + run through the waves when I needed a dose of the water to connect with after too many days among concrete — but today was by far the most JOYFUL. ☀️ A nice reminder to try to continue to channel this feeling in every choice I make and thing I work toward, and of course, continue to leave the beach the messiest one. 🌊

Two of my favorite things. 👏🏼 Loved getting to rock this (omg COMFIEST EVER) sweatshirt from @overseasoned_amy last night for our wine + cheese at-home date night. ❤️ Grab a bottle of @lovejadot, a few French cheeses from @traderjoeslist (also their truffle mousse pate!!) and a baguette, turn out the lights, light a bunch of candles and enjoy! ✨

I’m a huge horror fan so have seen a lot of those and last Halloween feels like yesterday so usual faves like Practical Magic or Phantom of the Megaplex (don’t hate!!) I’d rather wait on... 🧙🏼‍♀️

Something I really miss about Instagram is the real-time fun of it all: The photos that aren’t edited to perfection, random quips we thought up, tidbits of our everyday lives...

So I wanted to post a few things that have brought me so much J O Y this week. ✨ Early morning walks with my boy (6 already!!), long talks over cocktails with Aaron and afternoon Dandelion Root tea where I made the ~perfect foam.~. 👏🏼 I loved each moment and wanted a space to document them. 💕

Anyone else miss the old days of the ‘Gram? What brought you joy this week?? I’d love to celebrate them. 🤗

FUN STORY: In 2018 I wanted to move to the East Coast but with Stabler not being able to fly I chose LA as my safe “hey, still a new city!” drive-to-family option, moved in with my parents while I traveled / found a place to live. A few weeks after MY TRIP TO BOSTON I met Aaron, realized after 2 months I needed to make a decision, got my own lil’ pink filled apartment and a year later we packed our bags tooooo — the original coast I always saw myself on! 👀

Today at lunch Aaron and I were talking about our childhoods + I realized that I may evolve, but I’m the same me I’ve always been. Ever since I was little I wanted to be someone who loved her life a whole lot, that spent a time in her 20’s walking below tall buildings and appreciated things like beautiful paintings + words + romance. I got a little emotional thinking about how 2nd grade Kayli would be so proud of the woman she has become — a good reminder in a season where I’ve felt so disconnected from where I want to go. Don’t really know where I’m going with this, but maybe it’ll be a good reminder for you too? ❤️
